printing with photo gallery

I am running windows 8 and when I print document, my printer prints fine but if I try to print photo, it goes to photo gallery and when I press print it loads the photo and then when I press print it says it is setting up print but nothing ever happens. it just sits there and finally goes back to print select.
I am printing wireless with both doc and photo printing. I am using hpphotosmart all in one printer

Thanks. I didn't know you had to have the photos in your windows 8 picture library. I have been use to bring up a photo from any file and print it.
