    The problem with all those power supply testers is that they don't test with a load. I keep telling myself I'm going to build my own tester - with resisters as loads.

    That was not meant for load it's really about bulk builders like myself or Rich. or others needing to merely test if the PSU works at all or not. This can be a used unit as well where the client has only one PC. As far as a home built unit that test under load I built 5 of those myself, I use one now. But for an on the go unit that one linked is great to test the operational capability.
