I have Windows 7. About once or twice a day when using the computer the screen goes completely black for a couple of seconds and it recovers after a few seconds. Then a message pops up. I will upload the error message in a screenshot:

I'm not sure how to fix this problem and what the problem is. It's worrying. If anyone could help I would be ever so grateful. Thank you.

Hello and welcome. Do you have a Logitech mouse? If so, this may be software that came with the mouse. You don't need this software unless you're using features that may have come with the mouse. That may be something like pressing certain buttons or button combinations to trigger a magnifying glass or page down or page up, etc. Those are features specific for that mouse. You can uninstall the software and still have your mouse perform like a generic mouse. The left-click, right-click, scroll wheels are generic functions. So your mouse will still perform properly.

    So uninstall the software.

If you don't have a Logitech mouse, you may have malware. Let's see how you make out with uninstalling the Logitech software.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do have a Logitech mouse. Why do you think it could be causing this problem? I have the Logitech software, but I need it, as I have specific functions for the buttons.

Why are you having the problem? Hard to pin point. Probably a software conflict. These computers run software from various manufacturers and they contain hardware from various manufacturers. So many variables to test for.

Check the Logitech web site. Maybe they have a software update for the mouse.

I checked my software for the mouse and it says it is up-to-date.

Try contacting Logitech. Tell them their software has a bug.

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Logitech software.
    It may be corrupted.
