My Asus Desktop done some updates last night when I shut it down (not overly sure what these updates were). Today I've tried to use the computer to connect to the internet (wired connection) but there is now no connection. This has happened previously (after an update) but I managed to get it going in the end, but can not remember what I did that time.
When I troubleshoot it tells me 'One or more network protocols are missing on this computer', but it can't resolve the issue. Sick and tired of this updates always causing issues, I've wasted half the day trying to get it going again. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Try deleting the Ethernet/LAN adapter in Device Manager, reboot and Windows should do its Scanning for New Hardware routine and re-set it up for you.

You could also try to restore to a earlier time before the update if SpywareDr suggestion doesn't help.
Restoring to a earlier time is a trouble shooter that a lot of people forget about.;);)

Tried a system restore earlier. But I think the only restore time was after the update. So it did naff all. I'll give the deleting a go.

That worked a treat. Back up and running now. Was really beginning to 'Hulk' out. Thanks for the help.

Good catch Rich! I just looked where Shooby was posting. In the w10 section and assumed he was running W10.
W10 is bad about the wireless driver and the video driver and on and on!
