Yikes! That's too expensive for this senior citizen.

In around 2001, I spent $2000 for an HP Pavilion notebook. (running ME!). That's the most I've ever spent or will ever spend on any computer. I wanted a laptop and I wanted something decent. Fortunately I had no problem with ME for several years. I think I bought an XP upgrade disk for $20 through an offer from HP. I used it for about 10 years. Towards the end, it had to be kept plugged in. It was good to watch DVDs on.

In 2011 it was an Acer netbook for $210. In 2013 another Acer netbook for $250. Both are still used daily. I think I'd rather spend less and replace oftener.

But our needs have changed so a chromebook or android tablet might be all we need now.
