I was doing a search for a mobility scooter. When it came up all I got were photo's of all kinds of scooters. It appears Flickr search has suddenly appeared on my laptop even though I have never used Flickr.
It happens all the time now whatever I am searching for.
I have alwayss used Yahoo and have now had to d/l the Yahoo Toolbar. I hate toolbars on my computer, never needed on before. I have searched my computer and can find nothing referring to Flickr. It must be hiding somewhere. HELP please!

    Hi Patricia,
    Which browser are you using?
If using Internet explorer, click on tools, and select "Manage add ons", when that window opens, in the list on the left select "Search Providers" In the list you should see all those there, select the Flickr and you should be able to disable it, also if your Yahoo shows as disabled, you can re-enable it there too.
Also at the bottom of the right hand side, you can remove whichever you select as well.

    Nev.

I am using IE9. I found Flickr but it is set at default so the remove option is greyed out. Just no idea where this has come from as when I d/l something I always check to see it is not going to put other stuff I do not want on my PC.

    Hi Patricia.
In IE9 click anywhere in free space up the top and click the "menu" to show.
Then select Tools > Internet options and type in Google.com > click apply and OK boxes at the bottom.
It will then ask if you want Google as your default search engine. Click "Yes"

Patricia good for you but make sure in View, Toolbars it isn't still there either checked or unchecked as it might reappear. You might want to check Control Panel, Programs and Features and if you see Flicka listed there uninstall it to prevent that.
