my hp pavilion laptop's screen is flickering

    hello there,
    my hp pavilion laptop's screen definitely still flickering time to time
    what shall i do? how to fix this serious problem?

    Older machines use a fluorescent tube for backlighting. It may be failing. You'd have to replace the screen or the tube or the inverter. Those are all tech-level jobs.
    How old is the laptop? Maybe you can post the model number.

    my hp pavilion laptop definitely is very old,sorry,i definitely don't know how many years it is old
    sorry,i badly don't want to replace and change anything about my laptop
    many there is another way how to fix this serious problem?

    This is not a user-replaceable instance.
    You could connect an external monitor to the laptop.

    Does it have an external VGA port on it ? If so you can hook up a monitor to it.

    Look for a port that looks like this on the right or left side.

    It can be blue or black in color.

    Look for one of these
    HDMI.jpg

    If you have an HDMI port, it might be possible to attach the computer to a tv.

    You'd also need a port like that on the tv to attach the two devices.
