    Hi Dermeister

    That's fine.
    Always best to be cautious.

That's fine then, if you do use it regularly.
So leave them as they are.

That really isn't a good trade off ....... your computer security for the sake of a game!

As this problem doesn't seem to be malware related, you may be right about the graphics card/HDD.
Are you running a standard HDD or an SSD?

What are you looking at..... 960 or 1080

I know often I have the mind to turn it back on after but sometimes I forget it off!

HDD is standard 7200 it's a Barracuda it's like 5 years old LOL! that's why I suspect it! barracudas don't have a good trakc record when I bought it it fried 1 week in I had to get it replaced and luckily enough it then lasted this long!

I been looking at hybrid hardrives because SSD here in Canada are still pretty expensive if you want at least 1 terra.

I'm looking at a 1070 or 1060 OR maybe another fury Or maybe a RX480 8 gig i'm not biosed for red or green I go where the power is for the buck how ever I've always had n vidia up until now! What was good about the fury is it was 400$ and had performance of a 600$ card.... But the 1 I got micro stuttered AF! I'm just not sure if it was the HDD causing this or just a defective card!

Then checking it is a good place to start.
Seagate have a tool for this: SeaTools for Windows

There's a tutorial on how to use it here if you want it: How to use SeaTools for Windows

or running CHKDSK on the drive will give you a quick check .... although it's not as thorough'
    • Open File Explorer.
    • Click on This PC.
    • Right-click the Hard Disk you wish to run CHKDSK on.(Normally C )
    • Click on Properties
    • Click on the Tools tab
      Click Check under Error Checking.

I was actually looking at getting a 1TB SSD drive, but the cost here in England put me off as well.

I run the GTX 960 which is fine for my needs, but a friend at work has just bought the GTX 1080 and was amazed at how good it was.... but then he's an avid Gamer (I'm not).

YEa the Fury beats the 960 by miles so I can't get that card the fury ruined me because I know how much fps I was able to get for 400 bucks LOL! and the 1080 is the best card out there(aside from the New Titan)... But it's 1000$ too LOL! you get what you pay for.. except if you get a fury you might get micro stutter or you might get awesome card for cheap :p! I'm leaning more towards the 1000 Series I will see when I go to the store and see the prices etc.

I ran check disk and everything was fine. SO maybe ram? I dunno I haven't played a graphics intensive game since the fix was applied SO ill have to see later if everything is smooth! But atleast now when I load into windows it's more snappy.

We can now say that the issue is not caused by any adware/malware.
So we'll remove the tools used and finish off.
I'll split the last few posts away to a topic of its own in the Gaming forum.
Someone else may have some ideas for you.

    FRST can now be removed:

Right click on the FRST icon and select delete.
Right click on any fixlog.txt or fixlist.txt files and select delete.
Navigate to: C:\frst and delete the frst folder

    To remove AdwCleaner

Restart AdwCleaner ... click on the Uninstall button from the main screen.
This will remove all the files created and the program.

    Safe surfing. 200636f9a90a19cb85ecf0ba93831af6.gif
