[MSFT] Windows 7 Backup Fails 0x81000031

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by William Vaughn \(MVP\), Aug 18, 2009.

  1. Anyone have a clue why a normal Windows 7 backup would fail with this exception? No, I have not enabled bitlocker on the system and don't really want to. I just don't want something to go "click" and not be able to get to my drive. Is my only recourse to enable bitlocker and encrypt the removable media I'm using for the backup? Surely this isn't required.
