Connect your iPad to your computer via a Lightning to USB cable.
You may receive a message on the iPad "Allow this device to access photos and videos?" Click on Allow.
On your desktop PC, navigate to This PC.
You will find Apple iPad. Double click to open it.
    Double click on Internal Storage.
Double click on DCIM. (Note: DCIM stands for Digital Camera Images)
Double click on what ever folders are located in the DCIM folder.
Use standard copy / paste techniques to copy the photos you wherever you want on your PC.
