Today I actually took the trouble to not only start a scan but actually look at the quarantined results and remove them. Before I only looked to see if and when the quick scan ran. I have much improvement ahead.

You need to go into settings and set up a weekly scan. Here's mine.

Here is my current one. Never paid much attention to it though. Could likely be improved.

I just went and changed my scan schedule to Sunday at 11:00 am and 20% CPU usage.

Sounds good. That should keep your computer cleaner.

I just tried a full scan and it took almost the full day. I think I shall retrn to quick scans so they are shorter. They never find any problems.

A quick scan should be fine unless something is found.

I was wondering- since a quick scan is shorter, faster and easy I was wondering if I should do a quick scan every 1 or 2 days especially since it never finds a problem anyway. A full scan takes the whole day and still I end up stopping it. I have been doing a quick scan every few days.

Mine is set to do a quick scan weekly on all Windows 7 computers.
Set up a schedule don't depend on your memory to do it.
Set a time when you know the computer is turned on. sched.jpg

Since the Quickscans every day were finding nothing I decided to do quick scan weekly on Sundays at 10 AM.
