Is there a means of automatically downloading "Microsoft Security Essentials" updates on a windows 7 computer?

    Hi N3,

MSSE should auto update, but MSSE works automatically with Microsoft Update to ensure that your virus and spyware definitions are kept up to date.
Meaning that Auto updates should be turned on.
But I'm not sure how this effects the fact that Win7 is no longer receiving mainstream support.
To be honest I never found the MSSE auto update to be that good anyway.
I just got into the habit of clicking the manual update on a daily basis.

From my experience, MSSE couldn't catch a cold.
