Microphone Search By Voice in Google Chrome Search

    I am sure I have asked this before but I have not found out how to get rid of the Search By Voice microphone in Google Search and replace it by the Magnifying Glass icon that I click to search. Have looked through settings but cannot seem to find how or where to set this. Any one know where to look?

    I have seen when searching online that it is not possible to disable the microphone search by voice. Hope that is wrong. I also use diffferent search engine DuckDuckGo that does NOT force me to search with voice.

    Even though the microphone is there, you can still type your search request into the search box and hit enter to search.
    You don't have to use voice search.

    Thank you Cindy. I will try that. I use mostly Firefox and Chrome with DuckDuck and Google search
