    WHERE did I GET this????? It just popped up a square on my screen and I couldnt get rid of it. The X close window grayed out.I looked in Add/Remove, found it and uninstalled. I dont recall ever seeing it before. Why was it here??? How can I keep it from coming back??

    It more than likely came as a backdoor install from some software download and/or from said backdoor of a webpage. In either case check your system for any AV/malware/spyware/rootkits and the like.

    Beware of what you download. Most of that free stuff comes with Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs).

    This has been around for about a year.
    AdwCleaner, MBAM and HitMan Pro should all be able to remove it and any associated files.
    Normally it can't be disabled, but can be uninstalled.
