I have discovered a good many Logins are no longer working. I have had many for a long time and maybe should have changed them. Now many are not accepted when I try to use them. What is best way to fix this and how? I usually have the computer set to remember them so I do not have to type them each time or have to look them up in a book or on a list. Any suggestions? Any tips are appreciated. Thank you for any help with this.

You should also WRITE THEM DOWN.

You are using an aging Windows 7 computer like me. One day it will die and you will have no access to your information.

I did used to write them down but then found it easier to have computer save them. But I DO believe having them in a written book is better. Though not as easy.
At my age I am not anxious to buy another upgrade or laptop and learn to use it. I AM considering writing the logins I wish to keep in a book though.
    I used to do this.

I should have also mentioned, you should list the recovery email addresses too. If you want to change a password or forgot a password, a code is sent to the recovery email address just to prove it is you making the change and not someone else hacking your account.

I guess that is why it does not seem useful? Is there a substitute?

I am still having trouble with Logins Not Working. What is the best thing to do when this happens? I know I should have copied them into a book like I used to but never did that again.

If you have a recovery email address, then you go to the site and click on forgot password. You'll get an email code which you put into the site and can then type a new password.

I am getting some of them to work again but it is somewhat scary at first. Got one to work last night and it is still OK today. Never did this before.

All of a sudden I opened this Computer Help Forum and tried to select post new thread and the page became hugely oversized. Did I do something wrong? How do I fix this??????????? If it is possible? Never happened before. Maybe I did something wrong.

Try closing the browser and reopening it to CHF.
    See what happens.

I guess I must have forgotten how to start a new thread-at the top of the page there is a Forums box. At the right end there is an arrow that says "Open quick navigation". I THOUGHT there was a choice to Start New Thread but now I cannot find it. Now I am unsure how to BEGIN a new thread. I guess I must have forgotten how to open a new thread. I clicked INBOX at top of Forums Page after my initials BGBG, and it says at lower R corner :"Start a New Conversation". I guess I forgot how to start a thread.

I remember this now. Thanks. I have another question. I was wondering what is the best, safest, easiest way to dispose of old desktop and laptop computers that are no longer used. I am not a computer tech and just wondered what to do and how to do it. Thanks for any helpful advice about this. BG.
