In windows10, when I start up computer, it goes to login screen and there are two accounts listed, but only one will work with my password. I would like to get rid of other account listed but have not been able to do so.
It comes up with the one that I cannot login, and then I am required to click on the other account and put in the password, then that one works. Any help?
    Thanks

If you go into Control panel, Users you should be able to remove the other user under "manage other users".

When I do that, it only shows the one account I am using. I cannot see the account that comes up when I start to login.

Is it possible that one is a Microsoft account and the other is a local account?

I think that might be, so how do I get rid of the one I don't want, or will that mess up the accounts? The email address in the one I don't want has a misspelled email in the user ID.
The one I use and want is the Microsoft account.

No. I use the Microsoft account but when I start to login when I turn on my computer, it has two accounts showing for login. it will not let me change password on the non- Microsoft account, and I have tried every password I have for that account and it will not work. As I have stated earlier, there is a misspelled word in the email address of the one I want to get rid of.
If I could just get rid of it, I think it would still work with my Microsoft account.
    Thanks again.

That doesn't make sense as long as both accounts are Admin accounts you should be able to delete either one.
Are both accounts admin and if not make sure they both are.

Go to the PC Settings, Accounts page. Choose 'Other Accounts'.
You'll see a list of all the Microsoft accounts associated with the page.
Select the one you wish to remove and hit Remove.
You will be asked if you want to 'Delete account and data'.
    Choose this option.

That is what's so funny, it does not show other accounts except when I boot up when turning on my computer. If I click on the account that will not work and it gives me an option to check on password, it ask for password code file?
    I thinl

I would love to know what you failed to print here. When you boot do you get a choice of more than 1 version of Windows by chance to boot to?
