[Solved] Linux Kernel update or no

    When should you and how often the Linux Kernel. I know the theory if its not broke why tamper with it.

    Running Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon
    Currently 3.19.0.32 (i386)

    You know I have never known the answer to that myself however in the days I actively used Linux I would never have considered updating the whole OS because updates occurred almost daily automatically to every OS I used so I never thought about that. Of course I seldom used any version more than a year because the boot agent would get all screwed up and I would have to reinstall it when I needed the most not to but that sounds like an example of "pebcac" more than anything else.

    My next pet project is doing an install of Arch. After I fix the issue with the other two.

    Awesome I love Arch. Takes work though as you know. If you have trouble with the install/config try Architect as an installer.
