I got a new hard drive installed windows on it, and now my keyboard and mouse are not working. When I plus a mouse and keyboard into the usb slots those work but not the internal ones. I have tried getting to the bios but the keyboard does not load fast enough. I have also tried deleting and re downloading the drivers and nothing changes. I have a NV77H05u gateway laptop. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

I don't see the chipset on your list and those drivers are for Windows 8 not 10.
This may mean that they won't all work.
Do you have any "bangs" in your device manager, denoting missing drivers?

Also, in Gateway notebooks, sometimes, pressing the Fn key along with F6 will enable your touch pad.

they dont give the drivers for windows 10 and when I went to swap it back it would not let me, I tried the Fn with F6 and that did not work. I am not 100% sure what you mean with the device manager ive tried troubleshooting it finds nothing. This is what my device manager looks like if that helps.

When you state you installed these are you meaning all of them or just the ones for the hardware that is in the system?

When you installed Windows, were the keyboard and mouse working at that time?

Looking at post #3, it shows that you were installing drivers for Windows 8.

Going to the link AllHeart sent in post #4, I don't see drivers for Windows 10. Are you installing Window 8 or Windows 10?

How did you install Windows if the keyboard and mouse weren't working at the time of the installation? Were you using an external keyboard and mouse at the time?
