I purchased an open box ibuypower desktop a few hours ago, unfortunately their tech support is closed on the weekends. So I unbox it, take out the power cord, plug it in to the wall, Flick the switch and nothing. The fans don't go on, no lights. Nothing. I open it up and see some cords that aren't attached to anything so maybe that's the issue. I'm not sure. Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you!

Hi and welcome to Computer Help Forums.

Those photos are not clear enough for me.

There are always cables left over from the Power supply,in a build.

My guess, you haven't turned the Power Supply switch to "ON".

You may have switched the power on at the wall, granted.

The expound on Dougie's post, look for a switch on the back of the desktop. That's the Power Supply switch.

Yeah that's the only switch I could see. I was looking for a power button in the front but I didn't see any. Nothing on the top either. The switch was right above the power cord. Hopefully these new pictures help. Also am I supposed to plug anything else into it? Cuz I just have the power cord plugged in and that's it

There's the switch. I switch it back and forth but nothing. Also I'm not sure what that red switch is

As for the red switch, if you live in USA, it should be set to 115V, if you live in Europe it should be set to 230V.

There should be another switch to power up that computer. To turn the computer on, the power supply switch needs to be in the ON position. Then on the front or maybe top or side, there should be a momentary push button switch to power up the machine. That switch has to be there. The machine will not power up with just the power supply switch being in the ON position.

No, I'm talking about the switch that turns the computer on. Reading post #4, Crodriiy hasn't found the proper power switch.

Since this desktop is brand new, you should return to ibuypower with it and have them look at it.
It isn't a good idea to mess around with a computer that is obviously still under warranty.
