Don't know why you would need Java. Send a link to the page you're trying to download from. Also send info on the driver you're looking for.

    Hi Vett,

I guess this comes up when trying to Auto-detect your GPU.
This is because the Auto-detect feature uses a Java Applet to look at and verify your system components.
Like Tony asked .... what link were you using to get the latest Java?
I have written a tutorial here that explains how to get the latest Java version:

    Latest version of Java

The message shows that the download failed, not the install.

The instructions that Starbuck gave you should allow you to successfully install the latest version of java.

Also, as Starbuck mentioned, I suspect you clicked on "auto detect GPU". Instead, enter the model number of the gpu manually.

With that said, don't update any hardware driver (especially the GPU driver), unless you have a specific need to do so. Don't "fix" what isn't broke, lest you break it.
