Anybody on the Newegg email list regarding new products and/or discounts? Are there other companies besides Newegg that you would recommend?

I use TigerDirect a lot too. Their return policy is actually a lot better than newegg's but not quite as good as Amazon.

There was a time I used Newegg in place of my favorite wholesaler as their prices in some cases were even better but price is not everything. I found half the motherboards didn't work, cases wedre shipped in original mfgr cartons and came in dented and scarred many times. Much of the ram I was shipped was defective and the problem with all that is you send it back and if you want just money then they try to take a restocking charge which you can fight but who wants to. If they send you a replacement it usually is equally bad because they buy in huge numbers and inspect nothing so the one they ship back to you will likley be equally bad.
Since I went back to D&H 2 years ago I have returned one thing. I used to return everal a week when I was buying at Newegg so yes there are better people out there.

Tiger Direct is a great resource and way more customer friendly. Directron is also quite competitive especially since they started offering a lot more free freight deals (because they are in Texas).
