    Hi all,

I did buy a PS Vita as I felt it'd be good to have something to play the odd game (Football Manager/FIFA) but tend to use it more for Twitter/Facebook/general web browsing plus the typing isn't ideal. A tablet would allow me to do all these things plus to watch catch up TV if necessary.

I've used an Ipad for work and tbh, my 8 year old niece knows how to work it better than me. I'm open to other tablets (a Samsung user) and my first option I'm looking at, based on advice from others, is a Google Nexus 7 which two people I know have and they seem impressed with its workings.

On the other hand, an Ipad seems to be 'THE' thing to have but I've got a Samsung phone and Android is an easy to use system than Apple so leaning more towards Nexus 7.

    Any advice appreciated!

I think the Nexus 7. I nothing else because of the advanced google / android map features and using it as a GPS.

Just be careful because the Google Nexus that my grandchildren have do not have additional storage space.
There is no place for an SD or mini SD card.

That is a good point if the extra space is needed. Most won't but you may need that.

I think a 16GB would be enough for me. Not envisioning massive usage of the storage - just for apps/few games etc.

Right, I've narrowed it down to Nexus 9 and Ipad Mini 2. Both tablets would mean I'd spend bit more (around £200 on Amazon) but might aswell spend bit extra for that bit of quality!
