So, I'm suddenly getting this "Invalid MS-DOS Function" every time I try and delete, copy, edit/rename or move a file on my main hard drive. Any file at all. For example, I can't drag a file from "Music" onto the desktop, I can't delete an old picture, I can't send a word document to the recycle bin and I can't rename a video file.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's incredibly frustrating, so any help would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks.

It sound like you might have a hard drive going bad. Download something like HDtune or Speedfan and check SMART to see if there are any problems with the drive. If it comes up clean then you might want to check the controller on the motherboard. It could be going bad.

Hi and welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Further to the above good advice you could also try "Safe mode with networking" and see if you are able to move, delete, rename files etc inside safe mode.
Not sure how to select "Safe Mode with Networking" just ask.:)
