Initial programs sometimes fail

    Hi all,
    I need your help.
    We have 2 servers.
1 (WS2003) is the domain controller.
1 (WS2003 R2) is configured as terminal server.
Our sales agents, by some months, connect from their home pc to terminal
server. I have configured on the DC their accounts to start, together with
the terminal server session, the software that they have to use.
I have set this parameter on each account because it was a problem (for the
..exe path) putting it in a group policy. They have just a GP that limits many
    actions.
It functions very well, (almost) without problems.
The only problem is that sometimes, on random users, when the TS session
    starts the software doesn't starts.
I know that the GP for the user is applied, because there are many
limitations on the interface that he see (I put these limitations just to
prevent a similar problem), but the software is not started.
If he retries to acces after one minute he gets the session correctly.
In the events, both of DC and TS, there aren't errors.
    Could you help me?
Is there a way to "force" the initial program execution?
    Thank you in advance!

  2. It is very unlikely that the user GP for initial app was not applied
intermittently. Is it possible that the application you are setting as
initial app failed to start? What is the behavior when you think initial app
GP is not applied – are you getting a full desktop or is the session getting
logged off. Winlogon will log off the session in case it fails to start the
initial app or initial app exits for some reason.

    Thanks
    Silvia
