I recently put Windows 10 back on my HP All In One that had been repaired. I immediately downloaded Emsisoft, then uninstalled McAfee which was on it. Then I tried to put StartISBack on to make it more familiar, since I had it on before they replaced the mother board (After less than a year!). Then....I got

Can you tell me is this is a REAL problem. I am waiting to hear from Emsisoft, but I am wondering if it is wise to use the computer. I have turned it off and left it off, but am anxious to get moving!!
    Thanks for any input!

    Hi patszy

    I doubt it very much.
There's a few threads on the Emsisoft forums, all with the same problem.

Seems Emsisoft don't like admitting about False Positives though.
They had to admit this was a false positive, in the end..... but strangely enough the same guy seems to continue with other threads without realising he's already admitted the false positive.

Or maybe, he just can't put 2 and 2 together!

Thanks! I will check this out.
I did hear from them and they sent directions for several scans....one showed only one thing that was not a threat! So, I will see what they say about it. Guess I should have come here first.

They'll probably ask for FRST reports and then just cleanup some orphan entries.
That's what most of the threads entail.
    But, see what they say.
