Sounds good. Is there any way to import passwords from one browser saved password to another? Awhile back my saved passwords disappeared from Chrome and I read online where others also have experienced this. Fortunately I found them on another computer and printed them so I can type them in. But must I retype and log in to each of these sites again to have browser ask and save them? Or is there an easier way? There may be 60-70 of them. I may not need ALL of them.

Be specific from what browser to what browser?

Personally, I've never imported or exported passwords. I have passwords written down on note cards and as I change them, I also note the date when I changed to a new password.

Usually I have just saved them. Then when I went from IE to Firefox then Edge, then Chrome I saw one day all the saved passwords were gone. I found them on a different computer and printed a list of them. Don't need the all anymore but wondered if there was a simpler way than going to a list and typing them in each time an unsaved one is needed. When I changed or undated browsers I saw where it offered to import but did not know if that worked. By the way I installed My Pal on the XP computer. On the Windows 7 I am using Chrome or Firefox which I updated but nearly everything I log in to even a day or so later I find the password NOT SAVED even if I chose Save Password after tying and connecting. A big security obsession has occurred. For ME anyway, it seems.
I was doing the same as you said but then stopped.

To Tony: Does this mean I have to set Firefox as my default browser? Trying to download Citibank statements and getting confused between browsers and PDF files showing as Firefox.

    Two different, but related animals.

PDF are files that are normally opened by Adobe's Reader program.
Browsers allow you to view websites. Modern browsers can now open PDF files, but don't always do a good job of it.

The browser will allow you do download the pdf file from your bank to your computer.
Once it's downloaded, double click on it to open it. Reader will now open it. You'll find the PDF file in your Downloads folder (normally).

I have been having all sorts of trouble with logins today. I wonder if it could be fear from the "Russia Cyber attacks" scaring everyone? Have been unable to login to sites I just finished fixing today or within a few days. Log in. it fails. Fix it. Log in later. Won't work again. Then they send me emailed codes, require resetting login, etc.

No problem with logins here. But I don't use Chrome.

I suspect you have something that is cleaning things when you close your browser. That accounts for password going missing.
Also if you have 2 factor authentication turned on, then YES you are always going to get a code sent either to a phone or an email account. Every time I visit the Social Security site, I get a code that I need to login after I enter my username and password.

I actually Have on usual PC Edge, Chrome, Firefox now and using Chrome and Firefox back and forth. All the passwords and logins are there now. Do you think Firefox or Chrome would be preferable. But if you do not use Chrome that may answer my question. I am bewildered by my lack of computer knowledge all of a sudden. Trying to srt it all out. Would like to get back to ONE browser and search engine for everything. As soon as I can find out which if either is preferred or recommended. Using Firefox or Chrome right now.

Every one has a favorite so asking which is preferable in a browser will get you different answers. You have to decide which is the best for you.

That is what I thought. Personal preference.
