I have Win7 64Bit and an Dell Insporon 660 Desktop.

It has an Onboard WiFi and it is connected to my Comcast WiFi Router.

Now I wanted to use my Onboard Ethernet Port not my WiFi.

So I go to my Bars next to my Clock and click it.
This brings up a list of Networks and I pick my Comcast Router.
    Then I click Disconnect.

Then I plug a new Ethernet cable into my computer port and into my Router and restart my computer.

When the system is back up to Desktop I see the Bars next to the clock say Connected.
And if I click it and open the list of Routers again I see my Router name and if I click it it says Connected.

It is always Engaging my WiFi.

So I go into Device Manager then under Network Adapters I see
    Dell Wireless 1506 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GH
    And also
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Mini Port Adapter.

And under Other Devices I see
    Ethernet Controller.
    And
    USB Controller.

I have no iEEE is this why my Ethernet Port is not Engaging?

I always like to have my Desktop going to the Internet with a Ethernet cable not WiFi.

And yes if I go into Control Pan. and then Internet Options then Network And Sharing I see no Local Area Network just WiFi Network and Microsoft Network WiFi Mini Port 2.

    I hope sombody can help?
    Thanks for the time.

    Go to Control Panel

Select (on the right side) Change Adapter Settings
Right Click on the Wireless and select Disable
This will disable the WIFI connection
Is there one there that says Local Area Connection?
If not what is listed in this section?

If you can post a screen shot of that section.

    OK.
I Disabled the WiFi Adapter like you say.

And the only other thing in there is
Wireless Connection 2. Microsoft Virtual WiFi Mini Port Adapter. And yes I have it Disabled.

And I am not connected to the internet.
And when I restart my WiFi Engages again.

And I did ask this in another Forum and I thought somebody here may have a little bit more to ad.
I did not think I did not get help in the other Forum but you never know if somebody in another Forum may have more to say.

And I takeout my Dell Insperon 660 Driver Disc and the onley Driver on it is for WiFi.

If somebody here can give my a direct Link to the Download of my Local Area Network Driver I would love it.
I have very very very bad Eyes and it is hard for me to find the Driver.

I never thought I need a LAN Driver.

If you used the link that Seth provided, then you have the correct driver.

I went to Dell.com to get Drivers and got 3. Network Drivers.

But it did not tell what they are for and they may be Dabbles.

    What is
    Network_Driver_71VPC_WN_9.2.0.512_A02.exe
    for

    And what is
    Network_Driver_G1MNG_WN_7.048.0823.2011_A01.exe
    for

    And what is
    WiFi_Intel_W74_A00_Setup-P47JT_ZPE.exe
    for?

    PS..............
I would have put this in my old thread but I could not find it. So after I get a Reply can the ADMIN take it down?

Which device do you need a driver for?

You can install all of those. If the associated hardware is not installed on your computer, the driver just won't be used. No harm in doing that.

I need the OnBoard Ethernet Driver.
But I thought since I am on Dells WebSite I will get each Driver I need for my System just to keep on hand.

So I did but I have an Insperon 660 System and I got these Drivers.
Can you just tell me what each one is for just so I know?

I did try google but it tells me other things.

    What is
    Network_Driver_71VPC_WN_9.2.0.512_A02.exe
    for

    And what is
    Network_Driver_G1MNG_WN_7.048.0823.2011_A01.exe
    for

    And what is
    WiFi_Intel_W74_A00_Setup-P47JT_ZPE.exe
    for?

I am so so sorry it is so small I can not see it.

But I do click on Detect Drivers on the Dell WebSite.
And it Spins on screen and then Detects them but just has one File for me to Download.

But it does not tell me what Drivers are in the File.

I Click OK and Download it.

It is not a Zip File and when I click it it says
    Dell Package or something.

SSo I did not do anything.

Will it let me not Install them but keep them as Diferant Files?

The file you download will probably be in the format Rnnnnnn.exe Where n=some numeric digit. Download that file and double click to open it. It will probably do an extraction.

It'll probably put the extracted files in a folder similar to this.
    upload_2017-6-20_12-45-23.png

Then you may see a message like this:
    upload_2017-6-20_12-45-54.png

Go ahead and create the folder and let it unzip the files.

    You should see:
    upload_2017-6-20_12-46-38.png

Once you click OK, it should start the process of installing the driver.

I am sorry I should have asked this.

I got this File for my OnBoard Ethernet
    Realtek RTL8111F Ethernet Controller Driver

Then I got this File for my OnBoard WiFi
    Dell Wireless 1506 WLAN Driver

But the Last File that I got is
    Intel Centrino Advanced-N 2230 Driver

And when I google it they say it is for Wireless Networking.

So if the first file is for Wireless what is this for can you help?
Witch on do I need for my OnBoard WiFi?

This is what I need to know thanks.

In your other thread, Seth already gave you the link for the download for your Ethernet driver.

Edit To Add: Thread merged as issue has already been addressed.
