One of the reasons I think he is right, lights on or not, it takes a lot more to boot a system than to run a few lights and fans. The fact you didn't list your psu as hardware is normally a giveaway that shows that you bought it as the least important component very cheaply and psus degrade, and that is what most novices do. So what started out being a cheapie bargain sooner or later turns in to "component killer" as it proceeds to destroy cpu then motherboard in your system but starving it from the right power needed.

Would not say it was cheap it was about 100 USD if not 120 and gave my system 500w its been Working fine for about 2 years now. Does a psu Really degraderet that much

A power supply degrades over time and the cheapies much quicker. Looking at your Graphics card
and the watts it draws, I think 500 PSU is barely enough.
I would certainly be going for a 650 PSU and a good brand like Seasonic or as good.
No set time any PSU will last. I have had them dead out of the box and even had one last 1 month.
The better brand PSU you buy the better the warranty.
I would definately buy a 650 PSU for your set up.

I can really only answer you with brands and I would say $75 (US which is all I can quote) is more than enough. It is not money and it is not wattage as much as it is quality and Dougie is right they degrade and we tend to add to our systems which works against that. 650 is a good number and I would say Seasonic, XFX, Antec True Power Classic, Edge, Neo Eco or HCG only Enermax higher priced $80 and up are all among the best. They should all have 5 year warranty and can be dumped safely at 4 years due to quality.

Hi Rich. How can you quote US prices when this guy lives in Denmark and would have to add freight?
Have you taken into account the exchange rate, import duties whatever.

No Dougie US is the only standard I can give and of course freight and taxes etc would be additional.
He mentioned $100 USD himself so I figured he knew how to convert that. Didn't mean to be at odds with you as you were spot on in your posts, but trying to show price isn't priority brand name is in this case.
There are Thermaltake psus and even Raid Max over $100 that are not good quality.

I have had no issues using a Corsair PSU. After 2yrs it is still pulling good rail numbers.I am also trying a Coolermaster PSU in another computer. No issues with this brand either as yet.
