I was wondering if there is any substitute for M.S.E. as I wanted not to have to go to Windows 10 or later or pay for costly programs. I have found sites which say M.S.E.it is no longer usable with Windows 7 and I wondered if there are any recommended free substitutesthat would work on Windows 7. I did not want to at this stage begin with a different installation of a later windows but continue with what I have but I do not know of substitutes. I still have been running scans but if not working it seems like a waste of time. Any Substitute I can upgrade to that are free?

I still run the quick scans though I read negative things. I just do not know what it is doing and it never seems to find threats. I am following your recommendations. I see I DID ask about this before. Maybe I will read that post again.

I am keeping it and still running quick scans at least once a week with a full scan now and then. and I went to and read the previous post information.
