I Know Intel MotherBoards have a NorthBridge and SouthBridge and they Call them the Chipset.

They connect Slow End Devices to Fast End Devices.

The AMD MotherBoards use Hypertransport to connect Slow End Devices to Fast End Devices.

What I do not Understand is how?

Is it not using some kind of Chipset to connect all the Devices?
