HOW TO CHANGE LOGIN

I now have a FF ESR that WORKS, and a Google Chrome that will not open G mail. I need to change my Login on the Firefox to same as Google. How can I do that???? I want to have the FF ESR login the same as the Google login is but do not know how. I cannot open the Google G mail for the FF ESR login is different. I need to be able to set FF ESR as default and have the same login as the Google is so I can use my g mail. Never did anything like this before and need help. I can use the FF ESR easier than the Google. It has the same login as before I installed the Google. Hard to explain. Never had two browsers with different logins before. Confusing.

 

I now have a BIG MISTAKE. Have an new FF ESR with an OLDER login and a newer Google Chrome with a newer login. The Google has a CHF isername of BGBG and the Firefox a bbreva6 login. I can use either on the Forum but I find if I post with bbreva6 I get emails. Both work but I MUST SAY IT IS CONFUSING. How do I change the Login. I would like to change the Login on FF ESR since that is the recommended one to use now but I do Web searches. I know how to do so and if I could find out how I could use only the FF ESR as default since it works for Gmail, CHF, and Web Searches and this is a first time ever I have had two browsers. I have never as I recall had any help setting up computers as i wished them to be and do not recall having two browsers and switching the default back and forth depending on what I wish to do. Definitely I am NOT a COMPUTER GURU. Only a luckily successful user since around 1998. Any help would be appreciated especially if it WORKS. Notice I am on Google Now because my login is BGBG and NOT bbreva6. Either browser is OK but it is a nuisance changing default browser andd dealing with the difficulties. The FF ESR works well with gmail and Iam using Google now because it orks with BGBG on CHF. Excuse the language but I seem to be in COMPUTER HELL all of a sudden.
To answer your question I want to use CHF, Gmail, and web searches and certain other logins that are same if I use GOOGLE but NOT if I use FF ESR. Very confusing.
I find I am NOT as computer-savvy as I had thought. Nothing but TROUBLE now. I just have no idea how to change logins for a site.
I am now using GOOGLE CHROME as default so I am now BGBG on this forum.

 

I believe what I wish to do is to learn how to change a login on my computer. I do not recall ever doing this before. Maybe try changing FF ESR to same as Google Chrome first since I must use one or the other as default but not both at same time. But I do not want to make a mistake and not be able to use either one at all. I do not recall ever changing a login once I set one. And surely do not know NOW.

 

Computer just is not working right - how can I fix this ?

 

I shall face it.....I simply am confused and do not KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. I do not want to buy another computer or download any more browsers at my age and have always done this myself. Always worked up to now.

 

Thank you anyway, Cindy. I have always done my own computer stuff. Amazing how some glitches can upset your confidence and guesswork. Now I have a FF ESR and a Google Chrome and whichever I think will work I set as default and use or try it to see. I had a Firefox for a long time then for some reason went with Chrome.

 

Why can I no longer drag and drop web URL to desktop folders with FF ESR like I could with Google search? There is a padlock in the address starting with https:// before duckduckgo.com. Far left is a shield outline. I guess I need someone familiar with FF ESR?

 

Even though I have been told not to use Google I still like it for some things. Have trouble with G mail for I think my recovery phone number is bad for some reason.
Now i switch default from one to the other depending on which I prefer to use for certain things I know will work.. I am very afraid if I tinker I will mess up what I already have and not know what to do. If I use FF ESR on CHF it will use my previous sign in of bbreva which is not the same as BGBG on Google. But Google stopped working on G mail and refers me to Help Center page which is no help at all.

 

How do I change my current G mail sign in to a new one. I am afraid if I mess with it I will destroy the current one that works with FF ESR but NOT with Google Chrome?????? If there is a website with step by step instructions please post a shortcut if possible. I want to have either FF OR Chrome work with G mail but right now only FF ESR works.

Right now I have 2 browsers, a FF ESR and a Google Chrome and the Google will not work as usual and keeps sending me to the HELP page.I have to decide which browser to use each time I want to do something. The Firefox has the older login and the Google the newer one. And they do not behave the same.

 

I just tested my FF ESR as default and using Google G-mail to see if I sent myself a g-mail it would work. AND IT DID!!!!!!!!! So now I know the FF ESR works with it being default browser and I can use G-mail GOOGLE to mail it.

 

How can I change my login on FF ESR to be same as Google without uninstalling, re-downloading and reinstalling FF ESR if there IS a way. I had Firefox first and when added Google later, I made a different login and now I have both and have to keep switching default browser depending on which I wish to use. I would like to make both logins the same if possible. I think the Google won't go to G mail because the recovery phone number may have been changed. I do not know how to change it back.

 

NEED HELP. I have a Google Chrome and G mail and a FF ESR which can use G mail.. I need to know the best way to set a new login for each. Do I uninstall and download a new or some other way. I guess I need to keep a paper list of logins. Some things I can do best with Firefox and others with Google. Any recommendations? I have forgotten how I set all this up before. Now they do not work correctly.
