Help needed please. I accidently downloaded a link which put the 'easy life app' on my browsers. I was using Google Chrome at the time, although it's on Firefox too. I tried searching the internet for solutions and read that it was malware. I had already uninstalled it via the programs and features and removed it from the search engine list on Google Chrome settings. I did a full scan with Malwarebyes which removed 36 detected items. But it is still on my computer and i have no idea how to remove it. Your help would be much appreciated, thanks. Im running windows Vista Home Premium.

    Please read this:

This does not include the recommendation of programs to be run.
    Especially without full instructions.

    Hi ONY

    Step 1
    Start Malwarebytes AntiMalware.
    Click on the logs tab.
The logs are date stamped ... double click on the log that showed the infection items.

    It'll open in notepad.

Please copy/paste the report in your next reply.

    Step 2
Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

    Step 3
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
    • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
    • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
    • Click on the Scan button.
    • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
    • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.
    • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool
    • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.

In your next reply, please submit:
    JRT.txt
    and AdwCleaner.txt

    Thanks.

Hi all and thank you all for your replies. I seemed to have removed it. That AdwCleaner seemed to do the trick. I then went on to all my browsers to make sure and it is no longer there. Thank you once again.
