    Hi All,

This is probably the wrong place to post this so I apologise in advance!

I was wondering how I could copy a DVD of my daughter to my computer then onto another DVD so I can post to my Dad for fathersday?

I have a Dell inspiron 1525 and running Windows Vista.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jannine

Hi and welcome to CHF from me,
first off you need to transfer the video from the DVD disk onto your computer, I have found a free trial download if this is a once only copy, after the trial period it will have to be paid for. But this should help you get the video off the disk, click this link, then the "Free Download" button

    http://www.any-dvd-cloner.com/burn4free/

Reading the page, this should both copy the DVD to your computer, and also then burn to another DVD disk.

However, I must ask is the DVD drive you have capable of burning DVD as well as reading or playing them? Do you know for sure, as a burner program is no use if the drive is read only.
    Nev.
