Strange thing happened.......my Chrome page is no longer full screen in that it starts about an inch in on the left. Normally I can click on this & move it but not now. Also as I cannot see the square on top right I cannot click that & for same reason cannot get to settings. Have uninstalled & reinstalled but it remains the same.
    Any thoughts? Thanks.

F11 will make your Chrome full screen, which is a bit different from maximizing your screen.

You can try Windows key + Shift + M to maximize the screen.

Other than that, see if you can move the Chrome windows around so you can get to the Maximize button. Once you do that, hold the Shift key while closing Chrome. When you open Chrome it'll be in the same size window it was when you quit it.

Thanks Tony. F11, nothing happens. Windows + shift + M just closes the screen.
I can move the window from left to right & up or down but I cannot move to the left which is what I need to get at the maximise button?

F11 didn't work? What version of Windows are you using?

Oh, when you hit he F11 key, make sure that Chrome is active - meaning not greyed out on the screen. You can click on the icon in the taskbar to make it active or use ALT-TAB to toggle thru the apps that are running.

Another thing to try would be to increase the screen resolution. That would make everything smaller so that you can get to the Maximize button.

Also restart the computer if you haven't already done so.

I right clicked on the very top bar across, near to right hand corner but not on anything in particular & there was an option to maximise. The problem persists but now I can get round it at least

OK, once you have it the way you want it, hold the Shift key and while holding the Shift key, X out of Chrome. When you open Chrome the next time, it should open to the same size window as when you quit out of it.

It seemed to be solved but today it again opened as less than a full page as before. This is despite following your instruction with the shift key. I can still maximise but it remains an irritation.
