    Don't Know
OK, so I bought a £11 headset from a local shop which has shops all over the UK (Sainsbury's) to replace the rubbish Triton headset that I had for a day, and it was working fine for a long time 'till now. For some reason Realtek says that the microphone port is in use when, clearly it's not and a bit of plastic which was surronding the port has come off. It won't work from the back ports (they are not USB headsets by the way, 3.5 mm jack ones)

    Help me please!

Hi, can you be a bit more specific please, a bit of plastic has broken off what? the head set or the computer?
is any part of the head set plugged in when you get the message that the microphone is in use?
