Makes me glad I don't use IE as my browser, Snoopy.

Actually, I sometimes think how truly lucky we are here ... most of us can afford a computer whereas more and more people can't. The economy sucks dreadfully for any one on a fixed income and, for some, the computer is literally the only means of communicating with their friends and family.

I know businesses are in the business to make money but there seems little humanity at times.

Me too Mara. I only use IE when I absolutely have to. Computers & Laptops have come down in price considerably unless one is buying an Apple Computer. Many newbies to computers are unaware of the fact there is a lot of good software to be had for free and end up spending money on buying software they need. Oddly enough, I do not use my computer to keep in touch with family or friends because most do not own a computer even though they can afford one.

Yes, I can actually remember when I got my first computer and had no idea how to even start it, let alone there were free applications and software, Snoopy.

How very true that no everyone ever bothers with a computer - just hope one or more of your relatives isn't a dear that just happens to like chatting on the phone for an hour at a time - gentle grin.

I have a lovely friend in North Carolina who was an intensive care cardiac nurse - until Alzheimer's hit at about age 48. Luckily some kind soul donates 5 free laptops each year to the local Alzie organization there ... but I often wonder how one could make a plea to those who have computers that are still good (but they simply want the newest and best) could perhaps give their 'old' ones to their nearest Alzie office.

It's only one of the groups that are so reliant on computers for nearly everything.

Gosh, I'm going to blame the fact it's late here as to why I'm just roamed right off topic - eep and sorry about that, Snoopy! :)
