I wanted to know after I Sync my Contacts to my G Mail Account I know thay are Backed Up.

But some People say if you then just Take your SIM Card out of that Phone and Put it into your New Phone and Turn the Phone on you will See your Contacts.

Some People say no this does not work.

    Can anybody help?

Where are your contacts? Are they in your Google account? Mine are. When I got my first Android-based phone and signed to my gmail account, all the Google contacts came over to the phone.

I believe the Google contacts are stored "in the cloud" and then sync'd to your Android phone. I don't think it has anything to do with the SIM card.

If you're worried about losing contacts, export your Google contacts to a local file on your computer. Now you have a backup which can be imported into other programs.
