Getting "HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found."

    i cannot log on to windows update, if i click the link the subject error
    comes up

    What link? Clicking where?
    Use right-click Copy Shortcut and paste whatever it is
    into your Address bar.

    BTW always disclose your OS and IE versions when you want help.
