Hello - I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm having a gaming problem, I get free hidden object games at Game-Top.com & they're not a fast action game but I get a rolling horizontal line from top to bottom & some of them have like an image for a different picture in them & some are just black & not all games have a problem but most do & I've tried to find a cure but all my attempts haven't worked yet. I have Windows 10 on a Dell Optiplex 3020 00 with an Intel Core i5-4670 (4 core) processor & 16MB of memory & a 3T hard drive & Intel HD Graphics 4600 & have my resolution set at 1360x768 which is the best that works for me & the refresh rate is set at 60p Hz & that's the only option I have for that & I'm using a Magnavox 32 inch TV with a VGA cable, there's no way to hook up HDMI or USB. I've tried running it in different compatibility modes & none of those did any good & I'm leery about trying anything else that might totally screw stuff up. With a Google search I saw something about a vsync but don't know what that is or if it's something that comes on Windows 10 or if it's something I need to download & not screw anything else up which seems easy to do with Windows 10. But thank you for any help or suggestions you can give me & my biggest emphasis is on that not screwing anything up part.

As I was reading your post I thought you may be connected to a TV. Further reading proved that assumption correct. You have an issue with the refresh rate. Try changing the refresh rate in your display settings. It's probably in the Advance Settings section of the Display settings. I suggest you start with 60 Hz refresh rate. I see you posted that 60Hz is your only option. Please check to verify you can't change it.

If the game has a vsync option, try enabling it.

Hello again; I "think" I fixed the problem with this game at least, I was experimenting & right clicked on the desktop icon for the game & went to properties & then the compatibility part & checked the box for "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations" & all the horizontal lines disappeared & everything is normal now. But I had done pretty much everything you had suggested including trying the TV settings & nothing will let me change that 60p Hz & I can't find a vsync option anywhere. But for now I think the problem is fixed & like I said for this game at least. But thank you very much for your input & suggestions.
