Good find Dougie. Although I don't use email notification sounds, my granddaughter
does and is loving some of these new ones.

Very entertaining and fun DSTM. Thanks for sharing that site. I keep my sound off unless there is really something I want to hear, but will share this with friends. :)

The sound I use is a rooster crowing - it startles my guests when they hear crowing and then they proceed to look around and ask if I had chickens in my apartment. It is rather hilarious. For hubby, he has the sound of a motorbike rumble & revving up.

I created my own sound using my trumpet. It is easy to create your own notification sound with a microphone and Windows own sound recorder, just save the recording as a WAV file, then in the sounds window browse for the sound you made and then click Apply to save.
With a little imagination, you can have fun with all the system sounds, not just the mail notifier. Now don't be childish with raspberry sounds please :snckr:

After you have downloaded it, how do you add it to your e-mail please? I notice that Google Chrome uses's for a while then says it can't display the page.

Hi Aura.Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Instructions to add the sound to your email.

Click the Start button in the bottom corner. Click Settings and open the Control Panel.
Open the Sounds folder. Scroll through the menu, locate and select "new mail notification." Click the browse button and select the sound file you want to use from your hard drive.
Click 'OK' and you are done!

Having done the above, DO NOT later on delete the sound from the folder that you saved it in, or it will no longer function. It must always be on the computer.

I use one from a website offering Star Trek sounds. It is Worf saying "Captain, incoming message." Silly I know, but it makes me happy.

Please try your best to not use the "Quote" or "Multiquote" buttons to reply to any post unless it is important to make your point. Every last post is followed by a "Reply to this topic" box. You can also quote a part of a post by posting it into the reply box, highlighting it and using the quote button in the reply box. It looks like a little comic book bubble right next to the twitter button. See: http://computerhelpforums.net/topic/4527-how-to-insert-a-quote-in-a-post/

Using the quote button on the post makes the reply difficult to read and uses up space on the server for no good reason. Thank you all for your cooperation.
