I am trying to get fixedsys font in Vista, I have it in Windows 7. When I copied it and went to paste it said it was already there, it is hidden. How do I get it to show up in Word Pad.

Welcome to Computer Help Forums! :)

You need to go into your control panel and select "Fonts." Find the font you are looking for. If it is grayed out (feint) then simply right click on it and select "show" from the options. It should then appear in the wordpad font menu and should copy as well. If it does not copy in the correct font simply highlight the text and select the font from the menu.

If it is not listed on the fonts page in the control panel that means that it does not exist on your computer. You need to find a reliable source for fonts and download them/it. I don't know if Microsoft has a library of fonts for download.

thank you so much for your help. I finally figured out how to share the printer on my desk top (vista) with my laptop (7) and now I have another problem. I used the fixedsys font and a few others but when they print they are not printing like the way they show on the docs. They are printing different, very basic like roman or arial. Why would that happen? By the way love the yankee cap they won tonight!!!
