[Solved] Firefox wont forget logins

    This is happening in both Linux and Windows.
    Firefox 45.0.1
    Windows XP
    Linux 17.3 Mint Cinnamon

    Should this be happening?

    Even though I have unchecked it to be saving this?

    What I have tried.
    Up Graded from 44.x to 45.0.1
    Uninstall/Reinstall
    Put the check in and then took it out. Closing Firefox between the settings changes.
    Did a reset like you would in IE.

    No change has me baffled.

    Am I missing some thing or for Firefox this is just the norm?

    So much is saved for ease by Firefox I think the only way you can avoid this is to set FF to delete history on shutdown.

    I just checked my FF browser....it's doing the same thing and the Logins are unticked as well. Chrome has been doing this for some time now so I'm used to it. As long as my passwords are not being saved.....I'm good with it.

    It is not logins that is causing this, it is auto fill forms. I don't know where the setting is, but turn that off and it should stop.

    According to this should fix it. Will let ya know.

    Prevent Firefox from storing form entries
    If you don't want Firefox to remember what you've entered into form fields, you can turn off the auto form fill feature:

    1. Click the menu button 95fa142902ea8b1c16c97423d8eecef1.png and choose Options.

    2. Select the Privacy panel.
    3. In the drop-down menu next to Firefox will:, choose Use custom settings for history.
    4. Remove the check mark next to Remember search and form history.
    5. Close the about: preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
    Disabling form history also prevents Firefox from storing search history for the Search bar in the Navigation Toolbar.

    Yeah you have to clear auto-fill, which the equivalent of Auto-Complete on IE. I do that about every 3-4 browsing session.

    Follow this steps it will surely work. Cause clearing the cached wont fix your problem (Ctrl +Alt +Del) or try delete the bookmarks on your browser.
