If one or the other actually IS, is Firefox or Chrome the browser of choice? I am sort of switching back and forth right now.
The Firefox is 84.0.1 (64 bit). The Chrome is Version 87.0.4280.88 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Both are browsers that allow you to visit sites on the Internet. Chrome is developed by Google while Firefox is developed by Mozilla.

It your preference. It's kinda like asking if you prefer a Ford or a Chevy. I've been using Chrome because it syncs well with the various computers and mobile devices I use. I think Firefox has the same syncing capability now.

I also use Chrome because it's easy for me to get to the Google apps I use: Docs, Photos, Contacts, Calendar and Voice. Some people don't like Chrome because of the way Google tracks your movements.

I also use Firefox, Edge, and Brave daily so that I keep up with them. I'm not seeing much of a difference between them.

Unlike Tony, I don't want syncing. My husband has 2 computers and I have 2 computers, several android tablets. a Kindle (I installed googleplay on it) and a smart phone. I don't want his bookmarks on my devices and he would be overwhelmed if he got my bookmarks on his computers. I don't even want the same bookmarks on my 8" and 10" tablet nor my Kindle.

I feel google already knows too much about me so I rarely use Chrome as a browser on the android devices. I've never installed Chrome on a Windows device. I do have Vivaldi on my Windows desktop PC which uses Chromium. It is open-source chrome so not exactly tied to google.

Since I was never a fan of Internet Explorer and Windows 7 is no longer being patched, I could not see the sense for me of installing Edge on my Windows 7 computers.

I got tired of Firefox's rapid release schedule and changing of the tabs, menus and switching out so old addons no longer work. Then I had to hope someone wrote addons to replace the ones I liked and used.

For all the above personal reasons, my daily browser is Palemoon, based on the old Firefox model. Because it refuses to play some videos, I also have Firefox ESR (extended support release) installed and fire it up as needed. I installed Vivaldi to have something chromium based.

Your browsing habits and reasons obviously won't match mine. You have to use the browser that you are most comfortable with and works well at all the sites you go to.

One thing you can count on, there will always be new browsers being developed.

All good points plodr. Nice discussion on which browser to use. What works best for one user may not be the best choice for another user.

I guess my question should have been "what are the pros & cons of each-Edge, Firefox, Chrome".
