Are there any members who are seeing this when using the "Fast Reply" box in any post. I am normally logged on through Firefox but found this when testing Internet Explorer8.

Basically the editing toolbar is in the middle of the post box. You start your typing in the box above and, if long enough will continue through the editing tools and then continue below.

Must be something with my IE8 but I have cleared my cache and logged any number of times and ways and still the same. But if noone else is experienceing this, I can live with it since I rarely use IE on the forum.

I had one PM from a member who said they have 2 Fast Reply Boxes.
    I haven't seen it myself.

It appears to be 2 boxes but is only 1. The tools are in the middle of the box (see above) and when you reach the tools and continue to type the curser moves along the tool bar but you cannot read the type. If there is another member seeing this then it is troublesome. Lets leave this thread open and see if we get replies.

Are you using IE8 in compatibility mode by chance? If you are that would be the problem.

That is the problem. In compatibilty mode I see the problem. Shutoff compatibilty mode and the problem is gone.

What version of Internet Explorer are you using? Is it Internet Explorer 8 or 7?

OK I think we may need BSchwarz to reply to this. Compatibility mode or view is part of IE8 and is designed to render websites as if you were using IE7. Now taking that further logically, if compatibility view need to be unchecked for this site to work properly that would indicate a problem with IE7 and how it displays this forum. There is no compatibility view in IE7. Until this is resolved you have a number of choices.
    1. Use Firefox
    2. Download and install IE8 and then make sure that you are not in compatibility view for this site.

There are some outstanding issues with older versions of Internet Explorer and they are going to be addressed BY BSchwarz during the coming week. Another way to deal with this is to use the "reply" button at the bottom of the last post but please delete the content of the box unless you intend to quote it in full.

The IE7 problem should be fixed. Let me know if it is still broke.

Working fine in IE8 compatibility view enabled which is an improvement. Now waiting for gunnner in IE7.

If it works in compatibility view it should work with IE 7. Compatibility view emulates IE 7.

I agree but have no way to physically confirm so, for the benefit of the member, I would like to see gunnner's acknowledgment so we can close this out.
