So I recently built a new computer. I'm not that tech savy I just followed the instructions and watched a bunch of youtube videos. I decided to take this question to the forums to get some feedback.

I have THIS wifi adapter. My internet box is directly below me in the living room. I ran a wifi test in the same room on my computer and on my laptop. This was the results. My computer wifi buffers, runs slow, and downloading small files takes longer then usual. Laptop wifi runs smooth never have to wait for it to load.

Hello and Welcome Britt. You said you built this computer. Did you install antenna(s) for the wireless network adapter? If not, that may be your problem.

You say your "internet box," does it have high speed WiFi (integrated or separate)? Is this a cable device (like COX)?

You need to contact your "internet box" provider and get help.

Which port are you plugging this into 3.x or 2.0?

    Did you install the driver?

Ditto to what Rusty said. I'm guessing no proper driver.
