It seems that possibly some items contributed recently have disappeared. Would be appreciated if this would not happen henceforth... unless, of course, some violation; none account for the aforementioned disappearances.

And where has someone decided that is? And how does one or anyone know where things have been put from where they originally belonged? Would help prevent people thinking things have seemed to have disappeared when they suddenly, w/out a word are gone from where they were purposely placed.

No "issue" just a curiosity as some solid things seemed to be gone & have no idea cus can't find them anywhere & have no info regarding the apparent disappearance of contributions.

Nothing is missing or gone, Drew. As Dougie has stated, your Windows 10 informational posts have been moved to Windows 10 Information And Alerts. Each time one of your threads has been moved, you should have been notified by the forum software with a popup alert. Thank you for your understanding.

Rechecked Inbox & Deleted Items.... nothing.; if sent out, never received. I have received such, on rare occasions from MS Tech Forums but, not, from here. Wait, maybe 1 once quite a while ago but, nothing to indicate to where something had been moved... if I can't find things, maybe others I'm trying to help can't either. And, obviously & certainly, was felt to be placed in an ok location, intially... mater of fact looked about & no better location could be found. I put a lot less here than I used to & that can easily be cut back even further.

No one said that it was a pm (private message). You have received popup alerts notifying you of the changes that have been made.

If you are unable to find them, at the top right hand side of the window, next to your user name, there is a flag or the word alerts.
If you click on Show All, it will show you every alert that you have been given.

I have given you the proper location for Windows 10 information in post # 7.

That is of course, strictly up to you.

Drew.... if you didn't receive any alerts then it's no fault of the staff, It's obviously a glitch in the board software and as such it's something we can look into.
Moaning at staff who have no control over these settings doesn't get anyone any where.
The staff here are more in tuned with where posts should be placed and it's their job to move or edit posts to the correct forum whenever the need arises.
Members don't always place posts in the correct forum, that's to be expected.
But having them moved to the correct forum should also be expected.
This is better for everyone in the long run.

This is something that should have been added to the rules and explained.
We will look into getting this added.

This thread has run it's course now and I can't see any reason for any further addition.... everything has now been said.

Fine. Obviously thought y'all were trying to say an E-mail was sent, the same as other IT Forums do, telling the item had been moved, to where & why. Anyway, no worries.

And, if I don't get kicked out for saying so... I now see the way the page is structured could be better, IMHO. There's Windows 10 then, that Info thing underneath and when one naturally goes into Windows 10 w/ something that has to do w/ same... Info isn't a 'sub-cat' but, its own up above the Windows 10 stuff... I'll be bold enough to suggest it's not laid out or presented as well as could be. Nor does one catch (any advertised) reason why certain things go in one or the other of these 2. Possibly I'm the only one whom it struck as such or maybe I'm not.

Likely y'all will think I'm way off base. But, I've built talk sites & contributed to IT sites for a while and maybe I have a valid point or not.

Basically the way it's set up is:
    Windows 10 Information and Alerts
this is where new information about Win10 gets added and also any alerts that members should be aware of.

    Windows 10
    as it states.....
Microsoft Windows 10 help and discussions. Post any issues you have running Windows 10.
This is where members can post their problems/questions on Win10 that they have.

so if you have a question to ask about Win10 it gets posted in the main Win10 forum.
If you have information or you want to alert anyone to anything new in Win10, it gets posted in the Windows 10 Information and Alerts forum.

Some sites just have a Win10 forum where everything gets added...... we think that this gets messy and confusing for members.
We added the second forum to try and add a bit of clarity.
Maybe this worked, maybe it didn't.

This is why staff sometimes move posts between the forums.

If no one raises a point, we'll never know if there's a problem.

Ok, I get the rational & it's sound enough... however, it doesn't come across so well on the 1st page; due to the Info part being quite small & the Win 10 part above it much larger... equate them more in size... size = importance & both are equally strong in their own sense... I can't be the only idiot that just gravitates to the big Win10 heading. Couple that w/ a better job (again) on the 1st page, that expresses what each is, it's distinct purpose... I can't be the only blind dummy who didn't catch it... or maybe I am & all this comment be ignored. Maybe I go so fast don't notice something OR maybe it could be better displayed or stated. Matter of fact I looked for sub sections, for example, Insider Builds cat & or others to no avail... Maybe there's some tweaking of the layout that would make things clearer ... unless it's just me, of course... in which case, again, just ignore.

That is the Site Software. Admin have tried to enlarge the sub forum header, change color etc, and nothing works.
Once you know where to look, most can live with it.
We want members to gravitate to the large Windows 10 heading first, us being a Tech Help Site.:)

If you are interested in Insider builds, go here
    https://www.windows10forums.com/
    subsection https://www.windows10forums.com/forums/windows-insider.23/

    Or here https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-10-a/
    subsection https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-10-a/15103-new-builds-released-7.html

The majority of people who come to this forum looking for help with Windows 10 don't run insider builds. They have enough problems with the normal Windows 10 build updates.

Note: I do not run Windows 10 and have no intention of ever installing it.
