I have been having this problem for a while and have only recently determined that the problem is my desktop. I currently have:

    HP p7-1210
Running Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 bit
AMD A6 APU with 6 GB RAM
I cannot figure out which is my wireless card:
Broadcom WLAN adapter or Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport adapter
My router is a Linksys EA3500

When I run speed tests on my PC the results are typically between 1-2 Mbps download and between 2-5 Mbps upload.
When I run speed tests on my iphone (from the same location as the computer) my results are typically between 15-30 Mbps and 5-6 Mbps upload.

I cannot figure out what the problem is.

    Please help!

Can you plug your desktop into the router and run the speed test wired? If not can you plug the desktop directly into the modem and run speed test?
