DESKTOP ICONS ARRANGING

    My wife has a windows 10 laptop. The iconc on desktop were in random order but she lnew howto find them. When turnd on laptop last night it was doing some cleaaning operation maybe for viruses and when over the icons wer all on left side of screen in alphabetical order. Is there a way to set them back to random like she wants them? All my computers have them on left side of screen in A-Z order and I do not know how to reset them on the W10 laptop. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe they will rearrange when restart. Maybe not if a program has reset them. Would like to know where this setting is.

    Right click an empty space on the Desktop and choose View.
    In the View options, uncheck Auto Arrange.
    Just put the icons where you want them.
