Just started flashing amber yesterday as if the power supply is bad.
Did the jumper wire trick on the green wire.
Started and ran fine even after disconnecting the jumper wire till the next day when I had to jumper wire it again.
Replaced the coin battery as it was getting weak anyway.
I am assuming a problem with the motherboard?
Obviously if it boots up and works after the jumper wire is hooked up, the power supply is working.
    Any idea's
    Thanks,
    murf

    Hi Tony,
What does it mean when the amber light on the motherboard is glowing constantly?
Have not seen a problem with the usb ports.
    Thanks,
    murf

If it is the one on the Motherboard it is just showing the board is getting power.

On the back of some Dells there are 4 lights marked ABCD (maybe 1234) do they light up if so what color? According to the manual for this system the are neat the power connection.

Link for the manual page 23. Page 36 to tell us what they mean.
