    I meant to type 'ADAPTER'
It is Verizon Broadband and it shows 72Mbps and 100% signal but takes at times 3-5 minutes before the green bars show up and it says connected. Other times it is almost instantly. connected. Is this normal behavior or should I check into it further. I tried refreshing, highlighting and clicking Activate, and switching USB ports but still seems the same. The USB adaptor lights up but often seems to take awhile to say connected and be working. Anything to check or is it normal behavior?

Is this a desktop that you're using?

If there's nothing changing between the adapter and the router, the adapter may be faulty. There are things that interfere at times with wireless networks. I've seen cordless phones cause problems. If you're changing location, some locations may not be as good as others. If you have neighbors close by, there may be something in their home interfering with your network. Or, the adapter may be faulty. Try another, they're pretty inexpensive. I've seen them under $15.

I think mine was less than that. That is why I wondered because if they normally go bad in a short time I would replace it. But it is not a real issue at the time, only a nuisance some of the time when I am in a hurry but it is NOT. Everything is so complex there is almost no way to know.

I used one of those for a while some time ago. I recall there were times w/ 'issues'. I found it necessary to go to a different unit & had more pleasing & satisfactory performance. Same may be the case for you, as well. If you get this note, try a different adapter & don't go too low priced; often, one gets what one pays for w/ this stuff.
